Candidates must have completed satisfactorily one year compulsory rotatory internship after passing the BUMS/BAMS examination from the University of Delhi on or before 31st March, 2011 and must have full registration with the State Council Board of Ayurvedic & Unani Medicines/CCIM.

Candidates must have passed BUMS/BAMS or equivalent examination from other University established by Law and recognised by the University of Delhi and CCIM and have also completed one year or six months internship in a recognised Hospital on or before 31st March, 2011 and must have full registration with the State Council/Board of Ayurvedic & Unani Medicines/CCIM.

Applications invited for MSc Operational Research and MA/M.SC Applied Operational Research Programmes

Eligibility Criteria

(a) Any Master’s Degree examination of the University of Delhi or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with at least two papers in Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Statistics/Operational Research at graduation/ higher level. (55% marks in aggregate)

OR

(b) Any Bachelor’s Degree examination under 10+2+3 scheme of examination of the University of Delhi or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with at least two papers in Mathematics/ Computer Science/Operational Research/ Statistics. (55% marks in aggregate)

Note:

1) The candidates who are appearing in the final year examination of the degree on the basis of which admission is sought are also eligible to apply.

2) Applicants who have graduated under the 10+2+3 scheme or an equivalent scheme are eligible for admission.

3) Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility conditions will be allowed to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.

(a) Entrance Test fee:

As the Eligibility Conditions are same for admission to both the Courses M.Sc. Operational Research Part-I at North Campus and M.A./M.Sc. Applied Operational Research Part-I at South Campus, the candidates may opt for admission to both the courses. Accordingly, the Common Entrance Test fee would be as follows fro M.Sc. Operational Research and/or M.A./ M.Sc. Applied Operational Research:

Entrance Test Fee for General Category – Rs.800/-
Entrance Test Fee for Scheduled Tribe/OBC – Rs.400/-

(b) Mode of Payment:

Payment should be made by crossed Bank Draft in favor of “Registrar, University of Delhi” payable at New Delhi.

For obtaining the bulletin and application form by post, the Bank Draft only along with a self-addressed stamped (worth Rs.30/-) envelope (size 10”x7”) should be sent to the:

Based on the performance in written test, a consolidated merit list consisting of 3 times of the number of seats available for admission in each course would be prepared for group discussion and interview.

Note: In all cases the decision of the Mathematical Sciences Courses Admission
Committee will be final and binding on the candidates.

Admission Ticket:

The Admission Tickets will be issued by post only. In case of non-receipt of the Admission Ticket, a request may be made to the Department with two copies of photograph and Serial Number of Application Form, not earlier than three days before the date of the Common Entrance Test date, for issue of a Duplicate Admission Ticket. The candidate will be required to show the Admission Ticket at the time of the test. No candidate will be admitted to the Examination Hall without the Admission Ticket.

DU Announces the launch of a new 5 (3+2) years Integrated M.Sc. in Earth Science from the academic year 2010

The Department of Geology, a Centre of Advanced Studies (CAS), is a premier Earth Science Department of the country with faculty members of diverse specializations. The achievements of the Department are also acknowledged by various funding agencies viz., DST, UGC under FIST and COSIST programmes.

The Department offers 3 years B.Sc. (Hons.) and 2 years M.Sc (Geology), courses. In addition, the Department also offers M.Phil., and Ph.D programmes on state-of-the art earth science disciplines. Realizing the demand for earth scientists in the growing economy of the country the department is offering 5-year integrated M.Sc in Earth Science course from current academic session (2010-2011).

Students admitted under this new course will get the scope of specialization in Geo-Exploration (Mineral, Oil and Coal), Active Tectonics and Seismicity, Climate change, Carbon Sequestration, Geochemistry, Environmental Geosciences, Solid Earth Geophysics, Geoinformatics, Natural Hazards and Engineering Geology.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility through Category 1 : IIT-JEE Merit List or Category 2 : Passed 10+2 (Maths Group based on merit and availability of seats after Category 1)

There is a provision to exit after 3 years on successful completion with B.Sc Degree in Earth Science.

Three-Year Part-Time MBA & MBA (Health Care Administration) Programmes Beginning July, 2010
Eligibility: MBA (Part Time): Candidates seeking admission to the three-year MBA Part time programme shall have passed a Bachelors Degree Examination of at least three years duration in Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering or Technology of the University of Delhi or any other University recognised as equivalent thereto with at least 45% marks in aggregate in the First Degree Examination and possess other qualifications mentioned hereunder.

Relaxation from the minimum marks required in the First Degree Examination may be made for candidates who have obtained 55% or more marks in any Post Graduate Degree or at least 60% marks in Diploma in Personnel Management, Diploma in Sales and Marketing Management or Diploma in Administrative Management of the University of Delhi.

As on 1st August 2010, candidates should have a minimum of three years experience, as an Executive or Administrator in a Commercial, industrial or Government Establishment after passing the Bachelors Degree Examination. Candidates must be sponsored by his/her present employer.

MBA (Health Care Administration) Part Time: Candidates seeking admission to the three-year MBA (HCA) Part Time programme shall have passed a Bachelors Degree Examination in Medicine of the University of Delhi or any other University recognised as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 5 years experience, as on 1st August 2010, in Health Care Administration after acquiring the Bachelors Degree in Medicine. Candidates must be sponsored by his/her present employer.

Application procedure: The Admission Forms and Information Bulletin for MBA (PT) will be available from the designated branches of State Bank of India: Connaught Circus, Delhi University North Campus, Delhi University South Campus, llT(Delhi), Laipat Nagar (Ring Road), Swasthiya Vihar, Vikas Puri, Gurgaon (Meharauli Road), NOIDA (Sector-2) from 05.10.2009 to 20.11.2009 on cash payment of Rs. 750/- (Rs. 200/- for SC/ST category). Eligibility: For MBA & MBA (MS):

Candidates applying for admission to the first year of MBA (Full-Time) Programme must have pursued at least a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree Programme after 12 years of formal schooling in any of the following disciplines. The minimum requisite percentage of marks in different disciplines is as follows :-

Arts, Commerce or Social Sciences - 50%
Sciences - 55%
Mathematics or Statistics - 60%
Medicine, Engineering or Technology - 60% / CGPA of at least 6.00 in a scale of 10.00

OR

Post Graduate Degree or 2nd Degree examination after 10+2+3 scheme, securing at least 60% marks.

Note : Candidates appearing for the final examination of Bachelor’s / Post Graduate Degree examinations may also apply.

For Ph.D.:

All candidates, except foreign nationals and teachers of the University of Delhi with minimum of two years of teaching experience, are required to take the admission test to be held on Sunday 10th January 2010.

• M.Sc. Operational Research (O.R.) – NORTH CAMPUS – (Two-year post graduate course)

• M.A./ M.Sc. Applied Operational Research (SOUTH CAMPUS) – (Two-year post graduate course)
Eligibility: (a) Any Master’s Degree examination of the University of Delhi or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with at least two papers in Mathematics / Computer Science / Statistics/ Operational Research at graduation/higher level with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.

(b) Any Bachelor’s Degree examination under 10+2+3 scheme of examination of the University of Delhi or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with at least two papers in Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Operational Research/ Statistics with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.

Note :

1. The candidates who are appearing in the final year examination of the degree on the basis of which admission is sought are also eligible to apply.

2. Applicants who have graduated under 10+2+3 scheme or an equivalent scheme are eligible for admission.

3. Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility conditions will also be allowed to candidates belonging to all the reserved categories.
Application procedure: As the Eligibility Conditions are same for admission to both the Courses M.Sc. Operational Research Part-I at North Campus and M.A./M.Sc. Invitation for Industry Collaboration for Professional /Technical Training to Enhance Employability

The University of Delhi has initiated collaborations with industry to improve the employability of students, especially from non-formal streams, under University Industry Synergy Program. Several courses have been designed and are being delivered through Centre for Professional and Technical Training (Campus of Open Learning) located at C-2, Keshav Puram. The Centre is well connected by Metro. The University of Delhi has signed MoUs with leading companies and also with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).



At present the following courses are being delivered through this Centre :

`Retail Management`, `Software Application Development` and Automobile Service & Management` in collaboration with CII; `Medical Transcription in partnership with MT Forum; `Hospitality Persona Lifestyle Program` in collaboration with UEI Global. Other courses like `Voice and Accent` in association with IBM-Daksh and `Insurance` with Metlife will be starting shortly.

The University invites Industry to partner with the Campus of Open Learning in suggesting and delivering new courses in areas where trained human resources are needed. Professional Skills Project

The University of Delhi invites applications for the following Professional and Technical Certification Courses designed in Collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) under the Professional Skills Project organized by the Campus of Open Learning.

Details of the Courses

The duration of each course shall be six months including two months of internship with industry. The following certificate programmes are being offered.

4 Retail Management
5 Automobile Service and Management





Eligibility

All the students enrolled with the School of Open Learning and Non-Collegiate Women`s Education Board, University of Delhi are eligible to apply for these courses.
