Andhra Bank recruitment 2012 Clerical Cadre

Selection for Clerical Cadre posts in Andhra Bank will be made on the basis of performance in Common Written Examination (CWE) conducted by IBPS
in November-December 2011 and an interview. Candidates are required to apply online through website www.andhrabank.in

Depending upon the number of vacancies, the Bank reserves the right to call only those candidates who have sufficiently high IBPS score in the
stipulated Common Written Examination for Group Disccussion and/Interview.

The total marks for interview will be 35. The minimum qualifying marks for the interview would be 40% for General and OBC category and 35% for SC/ST/PWD category. The candidate should possess proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT for which vacancies he wishes to apply, and knowledge/proficiency in local/state language (ability to read, write and speak local/state language) will be assessed at the time of interview.

Call letters for the Interview will be sent to the shortlisted/eligible candidates only through email at the email address given by them in the application form while registering for Common Written Examination in November/December 2011.

State Admission to MHT-CET 2011 (Engineering / Technology)

Admission to First Year of Four Year Degree Courses in Engineering/ Technology for the Year 2011-12.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics AND Secured minimum 45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks (minimum 40% marks i.e. not less than 120 marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.

All those candidates who are now eligible due to change in eligibility are required to submit and confirm the online application form at ARC as per the schedule notified herewith. Those candidates who were not
eligible and submitted and confirmed the online application form and now become eligible due to change in eligibility are required to take the fresh Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement from the concern ARC.

All those candidate who failed to submit any of the supporting documents are now allowed to submit the same at respective ARC during the grievances periods i.e. between 6th July 2011 to 8th July 2011.

Application Form - How To Apply

The separate “Online Option Form” for Centralize Admission Process for Autonomous Institutes (CAPAI) for Autonomous Engineering Institutes viz. VJTI, Mumbai; COE Pune; SGGS IE&T, Nanded; WCE, Sangli and SPCE, Mumbai and Centralized Admission Process (CAP ) for State Government/Aided Colleges, University Managed Institutes, University Departments and such unaided colleges and/or such number of seats from unaided colleges which by mutual consent have decided to form part of this admission process is being made available to only those eligible candidates, who are desirous of seeking admission to the aforesaid colleges through this Centralised Admission Process on the official websites viz. www.dte.org.in/fe2011 .

Aspiring candidates are required to fill in the Online Option Form, take the printout of the Online Option Form and Confirm the Online Option form in person along with duly signed printout of the Online Option form at any of the Application Form Receipt Center (ARC) notified by this Directorate as per schedule notified herewith.

Option form received by post at ARC/DTE office will be rejected and no communication will be done with the candidate.

Important Note:

1. It is MANDATORY for all eligible aspiring Maharashtra State, AIEEE-2011 (Paper-1) qualified candidates to submit and confirm Online Option Form.

2. Maharashtra State Candidates applying for Maharashtra and All India Seats are required to submit and confirm only Single Online Option Form

3. Maharashtra State Candidate applying for CAPAI and CAP are required to submit and confirm separate option form for CAPAI and CAP.

4. If the candidate fails to confirm the online filled option form, then such online filled option will be rejected and name of such candidate will not appear in the allotment list.

5. Maharashtra State, AIEEE-2011 (Paper-1) qualified candidates are required to pay Rs. 100/- in cash as processing fee for each CAP and CAPAI Rounds.

It is Mandatory for the candidate (except J&K Migrant) to confirm the Online Option form at ARC and get the Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement duly signed by ARC, failing which the candidate will not be considered for allotment.

National Board of Higher Mathematics Mumbai

Scholarships for Pursuing Post Graduate Studies (M.A. / M.Sc.) in Mathematics

The National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM) invites applications for the grant of scholarships to students for pursuing studies for M.A. / M.Sc. degree in mathematics.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be motivated B. A. / B. Sc. first class degree holders, or students, who have appeared for B. A. / B. Sc. final year examination and expect a bachelors degree with first class, or B.Sc. (honours) degree holders with at least second class, or students who have appeared for B. Sc. (honours) final year examination and expect a B. Sc. (honours) degree with at least second class.

Students who have completed three years of an integrated M. Sc. course with cumulative grades equivalent to first class are eligible to apply. Students with good academic record and who are in M.Sc. ( Part -I) or in the fifth year of a 5 year integrated M.Sc. course are also eligible to apply.

Applicants should be below the age of 23 years as on January 1, 2011. Exceptional cases, however, may be considered on merit.

Application Procedure

Applications on plain paper should be made in the format. They
should be sent in duplicate along with a recent passport size photograph attached to each copy and a self-addressed envelope to the appropriate person for the Zone in which the candidate wishes to appear for the written test. The envelope containing the application should be super—scribed "NBHM M.A. / M. Sc. Scholarships".

Addresses of persons (zonal coordinators) to whom the applications should be sent, are given below.

Two centers where the candidate could appear for the written test must be clearly indicated giving the order of preference. While it is not guaranteed that a centre of a candidate’s choice will be allotted, every
effort will be made to do so. Under exceptional circumstances, a candidate may be allotted a center from the zone, which is not from those indicated by the candidate.

The Scholarship : Successful candidates will be eligible to receive a scholarship of Rs. 6,000/- (Rs. six thousand only) per month, during their two-year (one-year if the student is granted the scholarship during the second year) M.A. / M. Sc. programme. The scholarships are sanctioned for one year at a time and are renewable at the end of the year, subject to satisfactory progress. Students who are in M.Sc. (Part-l) or in the fifth year of a 5 year integrated M.Sc. course will get the scholarship only for one year.

To avail of the scholarship the students have to be enrolled in an appropriate institution, in India, for an M.A. / M.Sc. degree in Mathematics. The scholarship will be paid through the institution they join.

Selection Procedure

Selection will be made on the basis of a written test followed by interview of short-listed candidates. The written test will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011. The questions will be primarily in the areas of Algebra, Analysis and Geometry. The test will be for two and half hours and involve questions with short answers. Important Dates

September 2, 2011 : The applicant should contact the zonal coordinator to whom the application was sent, if he/she does not receive a communication about the test (or hall-ticket) by this date.

September 12, 2011 : The applicant must Contact the Centre suggested by the zonal coordinator if the applicant does not receive a hall ticket by this date.
