The Union Cabinet of India on December 3, 2015 gave its approval for signing of Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) among BRICS Nation for establishment of BRICS National University. Under the agreement cooperation will be extended among BRICS nation for betterment of higher education, scientific research, mobility of students, researchers and educators, information exchange, analysis and implementation of best practices and joint research programmes.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) New Delhi extended last for submission of online application form Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2016 till January 11, 2016. The examining body took this decision upon request from various stake holders (as per the information and press release published in JEE Main 2016 website)
