B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) for reserved categories: These seats are reserved for Terrorist Affected / Riots Affected, Disabled Persons, Kashmiri Migrants and wards of Armed Forces candidates who have qualified AIEEE 2011 and residing in Punjab and Union Territory of Chandigarh and have passed 10+2 (non Medical group) or equivalent with at least 45% marks in aggregate.

B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) for sports quota: The candidates who have qualified AIEEE 2011 conducted by CBSE, Delhi and are desirous to seek admission under Sports Quota to B.Tech. (Argi. Engg.) program should appear for actual trial at PAU Gymnasium on 03.06.2011 at 10.00 AM.

They should bring original academic and sports certificates along with photograph to establish their claim to Sports Quota under PAU rules.

Admission to Ph.D., M.Tech. and M.Sc. Programmes

Applications are invited for admission to Ph.D., M.Tech. and M.Sc. programs in various disciplines for the academic session 2011- 2012

Eligibility Criteria

1) Ph D programmes (Regular): Engineering Departments: Master’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology in relevant area with first class or minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) or CGPA 6.5 on 10 point scale.

Other Departments: Master’s degree in appropriate branch of Science/ Humanities/ Management with a first class or minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) or CGPA 6.5 on 10 point scale

M Tech (Full-Time) programmes: A valid GATE score alongwith Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate branch of Engineering/ Technology with a first class or minimum 60% Marks or CGPA of 6.50 (on 10 point scale) or equivalent. However, if the seats remain vacant, candidates without GATE score shall be considered.

Candidates sponsored by UGC/AICTE approved technical institutes; industries/R&D organizations/national laboratories having same academic qualifications as required for M Tech (Full- Time) and preferably two-years experience of Full-Time job are eligible to apply for M.Tech programme.

A valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR fellowship is not required.

For a foreign national candidate who applies through Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, or Indian Council of Cultural Relation, Govt. of India, are eligible to apply provided that they possess the same minimum qualifications as given for M Tech (Full-Time).

M Tech (Part-Time) programmes: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology in relevant allied discipline with minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5 (on 10 point scale) and preferably two years of experience.

M Sc (Full-Time) programme: Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with 60% aggregate marks or CGPA of 6.50 (on 10 point scale). For admission to M Sc in Physics, a pass in Mathematics at Bachelor’s level is compulsory.

Please submit separate application forms for any program, if applying for more than one program.

Application form duly filled accompanied by self-attested photo state copies of the relevant certificates / testimonials along with a crossed demand draft of Rs.600/- (Rs.300/- for SC / ST) towards application fee drawn in favour of “Director, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar”, payable at Jalandhar should reach the concerned Head of the Department by due date.
The envelope must be super-scribed as “Application for Admission to ------------ Programme (Full / Part Time)”.

For Architectural Conservation & Urban Design: Bachelor degree in Architecture or Planning of a recognized university or equivalent

For Environmental Planning, Regional and Urban Planning: Bachelor degree in Planning or Architecture or Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering from a recognized university, or equivalent, or Master’s degree in Geography or Economics or Sociology from a recognized university, or equivalent.

For Housing: Bachelor degree in Planning or Architecture or Municipal Engineering or Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering or Building Engineering from a recognized university, or equivalent, or Master’s degree in Economics or Sociology from a recognized university, or equivalent.

For Transport Planning: Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Civil Engineering or Architecture or Architectural Engineering from a recognized university, or equivalent, or Master’s degree in Economics or Statistics or Operational Research from a recognized university, or equivalent.

Landscape Architecture: Bachelor degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture or Planning from a recognized university or equivalent, or Master’s degree in planning from a recognized university.

For Building Engineering & Management: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or Building Science from a recognized university or equivalent, and also Five Year Diploma in Construction Technology from any recognized University or Institution established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature.

For Industrial design: Bachelor degree in Architecture or other stream approved by CEED with a valid CEED score card from a recognized university or equivalent.

Marks: Candidates with at least 55% marks in aggregate at the qualifying examination, 50% aggregate marks in respect of SC /ST candidates.

Application Procedure

Eligible candidates may apply in prescribed application form available from selected branches of UCO Bank in Delhi for Rs.100/- and by Post from the school against the payment of Rs.150/- through DD in favour of “School of Planning and Architecture”, payable at New Delhi.

Only one application form is to be submitted by an applicant seeking admission to any Two Master’s Degree Programmes.

Applicants wishing to apply for more than two programmes may fill more than one application form as required.

Admission to Bachelor degree programmes will be made through AIEEE 2011and through Central Counseling Board (CCB 2011).

Foreign Nationals (10%), Non-Resident Indians (3%) and Persons of Indian Origin (2%) apply on plain paper along with documents and registration fee of US $ 300 (non-refundable).

Applications are invited for admission to Five Years Integrated B.A. LL.B (Hons) programme for the academic year 2011 – 2012

Eligibility Criteria

Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (those who have appeared for the examination in March / April 2011 may also apply.)

Age Limit: Between 20 years as on 1st August, 2011 (23 years in case of SC / ST candidates)

The application form will be available for downloading from the University website www.nluassam.ac.in w.e.f. 12th May, 2011.

Filled-in application forms are to be sent along with a Demand Draft of Rs.1000/- for General Candidates and Rs.750/- for SC / ST candidates. The demand draft should be drawn in favour of The Registrar, National Law School and Judicial Academy, Assam”, payable to Guwahati along with copies of requisite Caste Certificate.

Completed application form must reach the Registrar, National Law School and Judicial Academy, Assam by post or courier on or before 6th June, 2011.

CBSE XII Results likely on May 23

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to declare CBSE XII Exam Results 2011 on May 23 this year. A total of 7,69,929 candidates appeard for the CBSE Class XII examination nation wide. The results shall be available through official website http://cbseresults.nic.in/


Results of the CBSE X examination 2011 and CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) are likely to be declared on  on May 16. A total of 10,61,566 students appeared for the CBSE Class 10 examinations this year, of these over six lakh students opted for the CCE, i.e., the school-based evaluation.
