JEE Advanced 2014

For Admission to IITs and ISM: Candidates aspiring to join the Undergraduate programs in Engineering, Architecture and Sciences at all IITs and ISM Dhanbad, may please note that The Schedules of JEE Advanced 2014 are as follows:

25 May 2014: Paper-1 (9:00 to 12:00 Hrs IST) and Paper-2 (14:00 to 17:00 Hrs IST)


Top 1500 including all categories in the merit list of JEE Main 2014 Paper-1 will be eligible to write JEE Advanced 2014.

The should register online at http://jeeadv.iitkgp.ac.in immediately after declaration of JEE Main 2014 Results.

Registration Fee as per the following schedule to be deposited through Bank Challan after the online registration:

Male: GE, OBC (Rs 2000); SC, ST and PwD (Rs 1000)
Female: All Categories (No Fees)
Overseas Candidates: All (220US$)

Each paper will have separate sections in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

GATE 2012 - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

Admission to postgraduate programmes with MHRD and some other Government scholarships/ assistantships in engineering colleges/ institutes is open to those who qualify in GATE examination. GATE qualified candidates with Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology / Architecture or Master's degree in any branch of Science/ Mathematics / Statistics/ Computer Applications are eligible for admission to Master's degree programmes in Engineering/ Technology /Architecture as well as for Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Science with MHRD or other government scholarships/ assistantships. To avail the scholarship, the candidate must secure admission to such a postgraduate programme, as per the prevailing procedure of the admitting institution.

However, candidates with Master's degree in Engineering/ Technology /Architecture may seek admission to relevant Doctoral programmes with scholarship/ assistantship without appearing in the GATE examination.

GATE 2012 Eligibility

The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear for GATE 2012:

Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/ Technology / Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (Post-B.Sc./ Post-Diploma) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

>Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology.

Candidates in the fourth or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme or Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.

Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

Candidates have to apply only Online. Details of the application fee and the steps in the application process are given below.

Take a print out of the entire file on A4 size white sheets using a laser / inkjet printer.

Cash Payment: (only for Challan Payment option)

The bank challan (Page-5) will be printed in triplicate. Take it to any one of the branches of ICICI, Indian Bank or State Bank of India (as opted by the candidate) and pay the fees. Bank will retain a copy and will return two copies to you. In those two copies, retain the Candidate's copy with you and attach the GATE Copy with the application.

Paste your recent photograph (3.5 cm X 3.5 cm) in the designated place of Page-2. Before pasting, please write your name and application number on the backside of the photo with black ball point pen.

Sign at the designated place of Page-2.

Paste Page-4 on top of a 10 inch x 12 inch size laminated envelope.

Post/Submission

Before posting your application form, make sure that, in addition to the other relevant attachments, you have attached either a copy of the degree certificate or a certificate from your college principal.

Duly filled-in Application with appropriate enclosures must be sent by Speed Post (preferably) or by Registered Post to The Chairman, GATE of the Zone corresponding to the 1st Choice of Examination City, so as to reach on or before Monday, 24th October, 2011 OR

It can be handed over personally to the respective Zonal GATE Office on or before Monday, 24th October, 2011.

For Building Engineering & Management: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or Building Science from a recognized university or equivalent, and also Five Year Diploma in Construction Technology from any recognized University or Institution established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature.

For Industrial design: Bachelor degree in Architecture or other stream approved by CEED with a valid CEED score card from a recognized university or equivalent.

Marks: Candidates with at least 55% marks in aggregate at the qualifying examination, 50% aggregate marks in respect of SC /ST candidates.

Application Procedure

Eligible candidates may apply in prescribed application form available from selected branches of UCO Bank in Delhi for Rs.100/- and by Post from the school against the payment of Rs.150/- through DD in favour of “School of Planning and Architecture”, payable at New Delhi.

Only one application form is to be submitted by an applicant seeking admission to any Two Master’s Degree Programmes.

Applicants wishing to apply for more than two programmes may fill more than one application form as required.

Admission to Bachelor degree programmes will be made through AIEEE 2011and through Central Counseling Board (CCB 2011).

Foreign Nationals (10%), Non-Resident Indians (3%) and Persons of Indian Origin (2%) apply on plain paper along with documents and registration fee of US $ 300 (non-refundable).

Joint Entrance Examination – 2010, Orissa





For admission to B.Tech., B.Arch., MBBS, BDS, B.Pharm., MCA and MBA courses and Lateral entry to B.Tech., B.Pharm courses in Government and Government aided private Colleges.

Eligibility: (A) For admission to First Year Bachelor programme in
Engineering/Technology : Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, and one from Chemistry/ Computer Science/Biology/Biotechnology or pass in 10+3 diploma course in engineering including those having less than 60% marks in aggregate from SCTE&T, Orissa or equivalent.
Architecture : (i) Pass or appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2010 from a recognized Board with Mathematics as a subject of study by securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate. OR
(ii) Pass in 10+3 diploma in any stream recognized by central/state govt. with 50% aggregate marks. OR
(iii) International baccalaureate diploma after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination. For SC/ST candidates, the aggregate is 45% marks in the above said examination.
Pharmacy : Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent with Physics and Chemistry and one from Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Biology or pass in 10+3 diploma course in Pharmacy including those having less than 60% marks in aggregate from SCTE& T Orissa or equivalent.
MBBS / BDS : Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50% marks in aggregate in these subjects taken together (40% for SC/ST) and with age between 17 and 25 years as on 31 .12.2010 (relaxab|e up to 3 years for SC/ST candidates).
(B) For admission to First Year Masters programme in
(i) Computer Application (MCA) : Pass or appearing in 2010 three years Bachelor's Degree examination in any discipline with pass in Mathematics at 10+2 level or in +3 level.
(ii) Business Administration (MBA) : Pass or appearing in 2010 three years Bachelor’s Degree examination in any discipline from a UGC recognized University.
(C) For admission to Second Year Engineering / Technology, Pharmacy Lateral Entry
Pass or appearing in 3 years diploma course in Engineering, Pharmacy with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate from SCTE&VT, Orissa or equivalent.
(D) For admission to Second Year Engineering/ Technology under Lateral Entry
Pass or appearing in 2010, for the Bachelors Degree examination of three years duration in Science from any University of Orissa or equivalent recognized by UGC and have passed with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (First Division) withMathematics at +3 level.
(E) For admission to Second Year Pharmacy under Lateral Entry
Pass or appearing in 2010, for the Bachelors Degree examination of three years duration in Science from any University of Orissa or equivalent recognized by UGC and have passed with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (First Division) with Biology at + level.
The ratio of distribution of seats under lateral entry for Diploma : B.Sc. is 80:20.
OUTSIDE STATE CANDIDATE : Outside State candidates are not eligible for admission in Govt. Colleges but they are eligible for admission to private colleges except private Medical (MBBS/BDS) Colleges.

1. Admission under NRI quota in B.Tech. & B.Arch. Courses

Applications are invited for admissions in NRI quota fixed as per AICTE norms from the NRI, their son/daughter and real brother/sister in Govt. aided Institutions. The children of real brother / sister and son/daughter of NRI who have obtained minimum 50% marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) subjects in Intermediate or equivalent examination, may also be considered for admission in Govt. aided institutions, if the seats remain vacant after the admission of NRI, their son / daughter and real brother/ sister. For details of eligibility, please see clause 3.4 of information brochure available on website. The candidate seeking admission for B. Arch. will be subjected to aptitude test especially designed to assess the candidates’ aptitude.

2. Admission for Sons/Daughters of Kashmiri Migrants to First Year of B.Tech./ B.Tech.(Ag.Engg.)/ B.Pharma/ BHMCT/ B.Arch./ BFAD

One seat is available in each Technical institution/ Professional institutions in each programme (B.Tech. / B.Pharm. / B.HMCT / B.Arch. / BFAD) affiliated to U.P. Technical University for sons and daughters of Kashmiri Migrants who have secured at least 50% marks in Qualifying Subjects at 10+2 level or equivalent examination as mentioned in table of clause 3.1(i) of Information Brochure, available on website.

HOW TO APPLY: Eligible candidates may submit their applications on prescribed format for admission against NRI / Kashmiri Migrant quota to the Registrar, U.P. Technical University, I.E.T. Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow (UP) 226021 along with Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- (separately for each course) payable to Finance Officer, U.P. Technical University, Lucknow" payable at Lucknow. The format of application form, information brochure and other details may be downloaded from website http://www: uptu.nic.in .

Last date of receipt of application form in the office of University is 20th June 2009, 5 PM.

COUNSELLING: Admission will be made through a process of counselling (on the basis of relative merit) amongst the applicants. At the time of counselling the candidates have to deposit Original documents and one set of photocopies of (1) Marksheet of 10+2 or equivalent examination, (2) 10th (High School) Certificate (3) Proof of claimed category (Kashmiri Migrants/NRI and relationship certificates) as per clause 3.4 of Information brochure (4) Three recent passport size coloured photographs. Counselling letter for both the categories will not be sent to candidates. Therefore candidates are advised to see the list of short listed candidates of concerning category before reaching at counselling centre on schedule date and time for their counselling.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

1. NRI Candidates must submit the required NRI certificate and relationship certificate at the time of counselling as per clause 3.4(v),(vi), failing which their candidature shall be disqualified and they shall not be permitted to participate in the Counselling.

2. Kashmiri Migrants quota candidates are also advised to fill the separate form for each course (eg. B.Tech., B.Pharm, etc.). Incomplete filled form (without declaration of 10+2 result) will not be accepted.

Requests for application form by post must be accompanied by a crossed demand draft of Rs.750 (Rupees seven hundred fifty only) on any nationalized bank and drawn in favor of SCHOOL OF PLANING AND ARCHITECTURE payable at NEW DELHI. All such requests are to be addressed to the Registrar of the School. Payment by cheque is not acceptable.

(b) For Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Food Process Engineering, Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering: Minimum 60% aggregate in Biology, Physics and Chemistry.SRM Engineering Entrance Exam (EEE) -2009:

Candidates who have attempted physics, chemistry and mathematics in the SRM EEE are eligible for all the B.Tech. degree programs.

Candidates who have attempted physics, chemistry and biology in the SRM EEE are eligible only for B.Tech. biotechnology, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, bio process engineering, food process engineering and genetic engineering programs.

B.Arch.:

A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent, having a minimum total aggregate of 60% with English and mathematics as subjects of study and a minimum NATA score of 80 out of 200.

No separate entrance examination will be conducted by SRM University. However, candidates have to apply in the prescribed application form for admission to B.Arch. program.

A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent, with a minimum aggregate of 60%.
