Admission to Two years diploma in Pharmacy - 2008

Applications are invited for admission to Two years diploma in Pharmacy in the affiliated Institutions of the Board.

ELIGIBILITY : Candidates should have passed in any of the following examinations with Physics, Chemistry & Biology or Mathematics:-

However, this prescribed minimum shall be a CGPA of 6.25 or 55% marks in the aggregate for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

Candidates without GATE score but with minimum CGPA of 6.75 or 60% marks in aggregate can also apply.

Candidates seeking admission under sponsored quota must have a minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm/ company/industry/educational and research institution/any government department/ autonomous organization, in the relevant field in addition to the eligibility criteria mentioned above. They have to apply in prescribed form (NITS//AC/01) along with the application form (NITS/AC/02 through their employers with suitable endorsement.


All sponsored candidates satisfying the above criteria will be called for written test. In case the sponsored candidates fail to produce sponsorship certificate at the time of admission, their admission will stand cancelled.

Written test shall be conducted for all the candidates. Candidates expecting to complete Bachelors degree by the end of July 2008 with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 or 60% marks are also eligible to apply.

The downloaded application forms are to be accompanied by a fee of Rs. 250 in the form of a draft. In case a student is applying to more than one programme, photocopied forms can be used. Eligibility: MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR CET: The minimum essential educational qualifications for CET will be Senior Secondary School Certificate or Intermediate or 10+2 or its equivalent examination with at least 50% marks for non graduates and 45% for graduates as per norms approved by the Govt. vide notification dated 29.3.2008. The minimum pass marks in JBT Common Entrance Test (Written test) will be as under.- a) 40% minimum pass marks for General category candidates i.e. 40 marks out of 100. b) 35% minimum pass marks for reserved category candidates i.e. 35 marks out of 100. 2. AGE LIMIT FOR CET: The age limit shall be of 17-28 years as on 31.12.2007 for all candidates. Relaxation up to five years in the upper age limit shall be given to the candidates of reserved categories as per existing rules of the State Government. There will be no upper age limit in case of Ex-servicemen candidates only. However, relaxation in upper age limit shall not be available to the wards/dependents of Ex-Servicemen.


Application procedure: a) The application form should be strictly in accordance with the format, which should either be photo-copy of application form published in the news papers or may be down loaded from the Website (www.hpeducationboard.nic.in ) of the Board. The application form can also be neatly typed on A-4 size measuring about 21cm x 30cm on Photostat paper while maintaining the arrangement/ sequence of columns as given on the application form. Application forms not in accordance with the prescribed format are liable to be rejected.

b) All the columns must be filled up in English only in Capital letters in ink or with ballpoint/Gel Pen.

Eligibility: Students of Class VIII studying in recognized schools are eligible to appear for the respective Class VIII Stage I examination conducted by the States/UTs in which the schools are located. There will be no domicile restriction.
Application procedure: Application Forms can be downloaded from NCERT website www.ncert.nic.in .
All correspondence relating to Application Forms should be addressed to the State Liaison Officers (LOs) whose addresses are given at the Website.
The completed application form duly signed by Principal of the school should be submitted to the LO before the last date.


Fees: States and Union Territories may notify the fee required (refer NCERT website) which will be paid for the Stage-I examination. However, NCERT does not charge any fee for the Stage-II examination.
Selection: There will be two-stage selection process for award of scholarship. For Stage-I, selection will be done by States/UTs through a written examination. Students who qualify Stage I will be eligible to appear for Stage II examination conducted by NCERT.
Examination Pattern The pattern of written examination for Class VIII will be as follows:

Eligibility

Graduation in the concerned engineering branch along with GATE score.

Candidates who possess Bachelor’s degree in the respective or allied
branch of Engineering/Technology, with at least 60% marks [open] and 55 %[reserved category] will be eligible for admission to respective program.

The condition of minimum percentage of marks may be waived for those
candidates who are teachers either in Engineering Colleges/Polytechnics
or in Government Departments, and joined before 28.02.1989, provided
they are eligible for admission to that program as per University rules.

The candidates must have minimum of two years of full time work
experience in a registered firm/company/industry/educational and/or
research institute/any Government Department or Government
Autonomous

A letter from the employer must be furnished stating that the candidate is
being sponsored to seek admission to the postgraduate degree program.
The employer should also indicate that the candidate will not be withdrawn
midway till the completion of the program. The candidate will be fully
under the administrative control of the institute for the period of the
program, and will be paid full salary by the employer for the duration of the
program.

Admission to the B.A.(Honours) Business Economics – 2008 – 09
Eligibility
a) General Category
The candidate must have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (10+2) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi with pass in 4 subjects (English, Mathematics and two Elective Subjects) or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto, with 55% or more marks in the aggregate of these four subjects.
The four subjects considered are all from the academic stream. They are:
(1) English
(2) Mathematics or Business Mathematics
(3) and (4) Any two from among the following:
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Commerce, Accountancy, Computer Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy and Biotechnology.

b) Reserved Categories
1) Candidate must produce certificate from the competent authority to claim benefits under this category.
2) Candidates belonging to SC / ST category shall be allowed 5% relaxation of the marks in the minimum eligibility requirements. A separate merit list will be drawn for these students for the purpose of (15 + 7.5)% reservation.
3) Candidates belonging to OBC category shall be provided 9% of the total seats and a separate merit list will be drawn for the purpose. Eligibility requirement will be the same as for general category candidates (as per Delhi University guidelines).
4) Children and/or widows of personnel of Armed/Paramilitary Forces killed/disabled in action during the wars from 1947-48 onwards or those who died while on duty, shall be allowed relaxation of 5% in the minimum eligibility requirements.
5) Candidates belonging to the physically handicapped categories shall be allowed 5% concession in the minimum eligibility condition for the test and separate merit list will be drawn for such students for the purpose of 3% reservation.
c) Foreign Students
Eligibility conditions for the foreign students will be the same as for the general category students.
d) Other Eligibility Requirements
1) The candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination and whose results are not declared before the last date of receipt of application form are also eligible to apply for the admission test. Such candidates must enclose the self attested copy of the marks sheet of XII class with the answer sheet on the date of admission test. Their admission, however, will be
subject to fulfilling eligibility conditions.
2) Candidates who have appeared at the annual examinations of the qualifying examination and placed in the compartment will not be eligible for admission for the current year.
3) Candidates who have appeared at the annual examination of the qualifying examination and subsequently reappear for improvement to acquire eligibility will not be considered for admission for the current year. Rounding of fraction of a mark to determine eligibility is not permissible.

Issue of Bulletin of Information
Admission to B.A.(Hons.) Business Economics is centralized.

The Controller of Examinations/Deputy Controller of Examinations, University of Delhi, South Campus will conduct the admission test with the help of the Department of Business Economics.
The Bulletin of Information with the Application Form for admission test will be available from offices of the ten colleges running this course during working hours, on payment of Rs 400/- (Rs. 200/- for SC/ST and children of defense personnel, on production of certificate from competent authority); in cash/crossed bank draft in favour of the Director, UDSC [B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics] payable at the State Bank of India, Service Branch, New Delhi.
The Bulletin of Information along with the application form can also be obtained by post from any one of these ten places on remitting a crossed bank draft of Rs. 400/- payable at the above mentioned branch. A self addressed envelope of size (23 cm x 30 cm) with postage stamps of Rs. 50/- should also be enclosed with the request.

Dr. D.C. Pavate Memorial Fellowships in Cambridge - 2009
The Dr. D.C. Pavate Foundation in collaboration with Karnatak University, Dharwad and Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge offer three visiting fellowships annually for a period of four months to be held at the Centre of International Studies, Judge Business School and the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, University of Cambridge.

Candidates below the age of 40 years as on 1st January 2009, who have secured a Ph.D., or a first class Masters Degree or its equivalent are eligible to apply for the following fellowships:

(a) One fellowship at the Centre of International Studies, Cambridge, selected on all India basis: The fellowship will be effective from September 2009. Candidates with good academic record in the areas of History, Political Science, International Economics, International Law or Military Affairs will be Considered.

(b) One fellowship at Judge Business School, Cambridge, selected from among Karnataka Candidates: This fellowship will be effective from January 2009. Candidates from Karnataka with good academic record and interest in any aspect of Indian business and management will be considered.





(c) One fellowship at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, Cambridge, selected from among Karnataka Candidates: This fellowship will be effective from May 2009. The selection and award is subject to the Department identifying a host research group accepting the successful candidate.

Karnataka Candidate: (i) Educated for a minimum of 5 years continuously

Kamataka for a minimum of 5 years continuously.

The fellowships will cover economy class return air fare, stipend of 3500 pounds sterling and 2700 pounds sterling academic Charges.
