DASA 2012 Organized By NIT Karnataka

DASA 2012 – Direct Admissions of Students Abroad in Undergraduate Courses in Engineering in National Institutes of Technology (NITs), IIITs and other premier Technical Institutions in India. Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) / Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) are eligible
to apply under this channel.


Eligibility Criteria for DASA 2012 Candidates is described below.


Minimum of 60% aggregate in qualifying examination i.e +2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of these as optional subjects Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology.

Entrance Exam / Admission Test


A minimum of 1440 Score is essential in SAT (Physics+Chemistry+MathsII) for application. Your SAT Score Score must reach to NIT Karnataka before 29.04.2012. SAT is administered by College Board.
Inform College Board to SEND your SAT Score to NIT Karnataka. The DI Code is 6530.

DASA 2012 Application Fee


For candidates from Non-SAARC countries, the DD should be for $7250 in favor of
NITK DASA, payable at New York. For candidates from SAARC countries, the
DD should be for $3750.

MP PEPT 2012

Madhya Pradesh Pre-Engineering Pharmacy Test (MP PEPT) 2012 for admission into 1st semester degree programs of Engineering and degree and diploma Pharmacy Courses offered by engineering and phramacy colleges of MP.

The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) is administering authority for MP PEPT 2012

Eligibility - MP PEPT 2012 General For All Aspirants

    You should be an Indian Citizen.
    You can also apply for MP PEPT 2012, if you have domicile of Madhya Pradesh.
    For domicile of MP, you should fulfil following conditions:

       1. You should have studied from an institute in M.P for at least 3 years.
       2. You should be a bonafide resident of MP.
       3. You should be son/daughter of an employee of M.P Government or its ex-employee or a Central Government/Defence/Railways/Post & Telegraph employee or ex-employee posted in M.P or a person settled in M.P under Government sanctioned resettlement act.

    You can apply for MP PEPT 2012, if you are appearing in your final year examination.
    You can appear in MP PEPT 2012 for admission to pharmacy courses, if you have cleared qualifying examination from open school.

Eligibility for B.E. Courses

    You should have scored 50% marks in 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects and Chemistry, Biotechnology or Biology as the third subject from any M.P state board school or any other recognized board.

Eligibility for B.Pharma & D.Pharma Courses

    You should have secured 50% marks in 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as main subjects and Mathematics, Biotechnology or Biology as the third subject from any M.P state board school or any other recognized board.

Application Procedure for MP PEPT 2012

    You can apply for MP PEPT 2012 by filling an online application form on official website of Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) (www.vyapam.nic.in) or www.mponline.gov.in
    You can submit application fee for MP PEPT 2012 of Rs. 600/- (Rs. 300/- for SC/ST) online through Credit or Debit card or Net Banking.
    You can download your Test Admit Card (TAC) from official website of Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) (www.vyapam.nic.in). TAC will not be sent through post.

Exam Pattern - MP PEPT 2012

    MP PEPT 2012 is a multiple choice question test of 3 hours. The MP PEPT 2012 consists of 200 questions from Mathematics, Biology, Biotechnology, Physics and Chemistry.
    For admission to B.E. through MP PEPT 2012, you are required to attempt 100 questions of Mathematics, 50 questions of Physics and 50 questions of Biology or Chemistry or Biotechnology.
    For admission to B.Pharma/ D.Pharma through MP PEPT 2012, you are required to attempt 100 questions of Physics, 50 questions of Chemistry and 50 questions of Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology.
    There is no negative marking in MP PEPT 2012.

Joint Entrance Exam for admission to FIRST YEAR DEGREE course in B. TECH.; B. Arch.; MBBS; BDS; B. PHARM.; MCA; MBA; PGDM; PGCM; PGDM (Executive); PGAT (M.Tech, M. Arch and M. Pharm) and LATERAL ENTRY to B.TECH. B. ARCH. and B. PHARM. courses in universities, government and private colleges

Eligibility Criteria

Engineering & Technology: Passed or appearing in 2012, 10+2 examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology/ Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology/ Geology / Statics. The candidate should have passed individual subject and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.

There is no age limit to appear at OJEE-2012 for admission into Engineering & Technology courses.

Pharmacy: Passed or appearing in 2012, 10+2 examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Mathematics / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology. The candidate should have passed individual subject and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.

Architecture: Passed or appearing in 2012, 10+2 examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Chemistry / Engineering Drawing / Computer Science / Biology. The candidate should have passed individual subject and must have obtained at least 45% (40% in case
of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) marks in the above subjects taken together.

All the aforesaid admission into 5 year B.Arch. degree course are to be subject to passing NATA conducted by the council of architecture and the minimum passing score for NATA is 40% for all categories of candidates. NATA shall be a prerequisite for admission into B.Arch course, but the ranking shall be on the basis of OJEE-2012 ranking and admission to the course is based on the OJEE-2012 rank.

For admission to 1 Year Medical Stream (MBBS/BDS): Passed or appearing in 2012, 10+2 examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Botany and Zoology) with at least 50% marks in aggregate (Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together) for general category candidates and 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ ST candidates.

For candidates seeking admission through OJEE-2012 to Govt. and Private Colleges the candidate must be a permanent native of Odisha. They are to submit the Permanent Residence Certificate (Appendix - I) at the time of document verification during counselling process.

AGE: The lower age shall be 17 years as on December 31, 2012. The upper age shall be 25 years as on December 31, 2012.

One can obtained Information Boucher on payment of Rs.550/- at the Post Office/ Syndicate Banks/ State Bank of India.

(B) Application Form can be Filled Online Through Web Site " www.ojee.nic.in or www.odishajee.com ".

The applicant has to submit the receipt of confirmation slip and demand draft to Chairman, OJEE - 2012. The draft should be made for Rs.550/- drawn in favour of "OJEE-2012" on any nationalized bank payable at Bubaneswar.

(C) Application Form can be Obtained From OJEE-2012 Office Candidates can also apply for App|ication Form by post on payment of A/C payee Demand Draft for Rs.550/- drawn in favour of "OJEE-2012" on any nationalized bank payable at Bhubaneswar along with a stamped (Rs.75/-) 30 cm x 25 cm Size cloth lined self addressed envelope from the Office of the Chairman, OJEE-2012, JEE Cell, Gandamunda, P.O.: Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar- 751030.

The candidates seeking admission to M. Tech/M.Pharm / M.Arch should fill his/her application only through ONLINE process by logging on to www.ojee.nic.in or www.odishajee.com . There will be no information brochure selling either from BANKS or GPO for PGAI.

The completed application form is to be submitted to the Banks / Post Offices from where it is purchased or to be sent by registered / speed post / registered courier service to the address given below.

GATE 2012 - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

Admission to postgraduate programmes with MHRD and some other Government scholarships/ assistantships in engineering colleges/ institutes is open to those who qualify in GATE examination. GATE qualified candidates with Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology / Architecture or Master's degree in any branch of Science/ Mathematics / Statistics/ Computer Applications are eligible for admission to Master's degree programmes in Engineering/ Technology /Architecture as well as for Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Science with MHRD or other government scholarships/ assistantships. To avail the scholarship, the candidate must secure admission to such a postgraduate programme, as per the prevailing procedure of the admitting institution.

However, candidates with Master's degree in Engineering/ Technology /Architecture may seek admission to relevant Doctoral programmes with scholarship/ assistantship without appearing in the GATE examination.

GATE 2012 Eligibility

The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear for GATE 2012:

Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/ Technology / Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (Post-B.Sc./ Post-Diploma) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

>Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology.

Candidates in the fourth or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme or Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.

Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

Take a print out of the entire file on A4 size white sheets using a laser / inkjet printer.

The bank challan (Page-5) will be printed in triplicate. Take it to any one of the branches of ICICI, Indian Bank or State Bank of India (as opted by the candidate) and pay the fees. Bank will retain a copy and will return two copies to you. In those two copies, retain the Candidate's copy with you and attach the GATE Copy with the application.

Paste your recent photograph (3.5 cm X 3.5 cm) in the designated place of Page-2. Before pasting, please write your name and application number on the backside of the photo with black ball point pen.

Sign at the designated place of Page-2.

Paste Page-4 on top of a 10 inch x 12 inch size laminated envelope.

Post/Submission

Before posting your application form, make sure that, in addition to the other relevant attachments, you have attached either a copy of the degree certificate or a certificate from your college principal.

Duly filled-in Application with appropriate enclosures must be sent by Speed Post (preferably) or by Registered Post to The Chairman, GATE of the Zone corresponding to the 1st Choice of Examination City, so as to reach on or before Monday, 24th October, 2011 OR

It can be handed over personally to the respective Zonal GATE Office on or before Monday, 24th October, 2011.

Admission to Diploma in Engineering Part Time Courses

Applications are invited for admission to the following Part time (Evening) Diploma Courses in various Polytechnics for Academic Year 2011 -12:

Eligibility Criteria

(a) Passed in 10th class of 10+2 System or Matric or any other examination recognized as equivalent to 10th class examination, conducted by CBSE. The subjects Science, Mathematics and English are compulsory and the candidate should have passed in these three
subjects without considering grace marks. AND

(b) Passed NCVT/SCVT from ITIs/ITCs/ Apprenticeship Certificate Exam of analogous Diploma course without considering grace marks.
OR

Passed 12th class examination of analogous 10+2 Vocational Stream of CBSE or equivalent, without considering grace marks. AND

(c) The candidate should be employed/ self employed on the day of
submitting the application form.

Application Form - How To Apply

The Prospectus with application form for the admission will be available from Pusa Polytechnic Pusa, New Delhi-110012; Aryabhat Polytechnic, G.T Karnal Road, Delhi- 110033 and GJB Pant Polytechnic, Okhla, New Delhi- 110020 on payment of Rs. 100/- in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of DDO, Aryabhat Polytechnic payable at Delhi.

The Prospectus and application form will be on sale from 11th July 2011 to 22nd July 2011 between 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM on all working days (including Saturday). Separate application form should be filled up for each course.

Applicants from outside Delhi may download the application form from the website of the Department (http://tte.delhigovt.nic.in) and submit the same along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of the DDO, Aryabhat Polytechnic, payable at New Delhi (towards the value of the prospectus cum application form).

The application form should be submitted at Aryabhat Polytechnic latest by 4.00 PM on 22nd July 2011.

State Admission to MHT-CET 2011 (Engineering / Technology)

Admission to First Year of Four Year Degree Courses in Engineering/ Technology for the Year 2011-12.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics AND Secured minimum 45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks (minimum 40% marks i.e. not less than 120 marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.

All those candidates who are now eligible due to change in eligibility are required to submit and confirm the online application form at ARC as per the schedule notified herewith. Those candidates who were not
eligible and submitted and confirmed the online application form and now become eligible due to change in eligibility are required to take the fresh Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement from the concern ARC.

All those candidate who failed to submit any of the supporting documents are now allowed to submit the same at respective ARC during the grievances periods i.e. between 6th July 2011 to 8th July 2011.

Application Form - How To Apply

The separate “Online Option Form” for Centralize Admission Process for Autonomous Institutes (CAPAI) for Autonomous Engineering Institutes viz. VJTI, Mumbai; COE Pune; SGGS IE&T, Nanded; WCE, Sangli and SPCE, Mumbai and Centralized Admission Process (CAP ) for State Government/Aided Colleges, University Managed Institutes, University Departments and such unaided colleges and/or such number of seats from unaided colleges which by mutual consent have decided to form part of this admission process is being made available to only those eligible candidates, who are desirous of seeking admission to the aforesaid colleges through this Centralised Admission Process on the official websites viz. www.dte.org.in/fe2011 .

Aspiring candidates are required to fill in the Online Option Form, take the printout of the Online Option Form and Confirm the Online Option form in person along with duly signed printout of the Online Option form at any of the Application Form Receipt Center (ARC) notified by this Directorate as per schedule notified herewith.

Option form received by post at ARC/DTE office will be rejected and no communication will be done with the candidate.

Important Note:

1. It is MANDATORY for all eligible aspiring Maharashtra State, AIEEE-2011 (Paper-1) qualified candidates to submit and confirm Online Option Form.

2. Maharashtra State Candidates applying for Maharashtra and All India Seats are required to submit and confirm only Single Online Option Form

3. Maharashtra State Candidate applying for CAPAI and CAP are required to submit and confirm separate option form for CAPAI and CAP.

4. If the candidate fails to confirm the online filled option form, then such online filled option will be rejected and name of such candidate will not appear in the allotment list.

Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI)

 Applications are hereby invited from Engineering post-graduates for the award of fellowships under the DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme  for Ph.D. (DGFS- Ph.D.) for pursuing research in an Engineering discipline leading to the award of Ph.D. degree of HBNI. The terms and conditions of the Fellowships are:

1. The DGFS-PhD Fellowship is tenable for three years for doing Ph.D. in an Engineering discipline in one of the four R&D centres listed above.

2. The amount of Fellowship payable under the scheme is Rs.18000/- (likely to be increased) per month besides house rent allowance and medical benefits as per rules.

3. The selected Fellows will carry out research under the joint supervision of two guides, one having strength in basic research and the other in technology development.

4. After the award of the Ph.D., the DGFS-Ph.D. fellows will have the option to appear for selection under K.S. Krishnan Research Associateship (KSKRA) programme without going through further process of screening. KSKRAs are selected every year and paid a stipend of Rs.20,000/- (likely to be revised) + benefits for a maximum period of 2 years. Anytime during the 2nd year of associateship, subject to satisfactory performance, the KSKRAs will be absorbed in one of the R&D centres of DAE as above and appointed in the Grade Scientific Officer (D/E).

Eligibility Criteria

a: Qualifying Degree and other academic qualifications:
Candidates should possess M. E. / M. Tech. or equivalent degree in Mechanical / Chemical/ Metallurgical /Electrical/Electronics / Instrumentation or Computer engineering disciplines with minimum 60% Marks in B.E./B. Tech. and minimum of 60% marks in M.E./ M.Tech. or equivalent degree as per the Ordinance of the respective degree awarding University OR equivalent CGPI (converted to % Marks by multiplying with 100% if the CGPAs on x points scale).

b. Age limit: The candidates desirous of availing DGFS-Ph.D. Fellowship should have been born on or after January 1, 1983. Age limit is relaxable by three years for OBC and by Eve years for SC/ST applicants. The age limit for the candidates working as faculty in Engineering Colleges desirous of doing Ph.D. without the fellowship grant is 40 years.

c. Nationality: Applicant should be an Indian citizen.

Submission of online application form, document verification & confirmation at ARC for admission to first year of four year degree courses in Engineering/ Technology in State Government/ Aided Colleges, University Managed Institutes, University Departments, Such Unaided colleges and/or such number of seats from Unaided colleges.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum eligibility criteria for applying to admission to these courses are as mentioned in the Information Brochures issued at the time of submission of application form for MHT-CET 2010 and to be issued at the time of submission of online application form.

Application Procedure

The “Online Application Form” is being made available to only those eligible candidates, who are desirous of seeking admission to the aforesaid colleges through centralised Admission Process on the official website www.dte.org.in/fe2010 .

Aspiring candidates are required to fill in the Online Application Form, take the printout of the Online Application Form and Confirm the Online application form in person along with duly signed printout of the Online Application form, required documents (both originals & attested copies) at the Application Form Receipt Center (ARC) listed below as per schedule.

The merit list of eligible candidates for Centralized Admission Process (CAP) will be displayed on website.

Applications of Maharashtra State, OMS and AIEEE candidates received by post at ARC/DTE office will be rejected and no communication will be done with the candidate.

The Information Brochure containing Institute Information, course wise sanctioned intake, choice codes, Instructions to fill in the online option form of each CAP rounds, Rules of Eligibility to participate in CAP Rounds etc. will be made available to all eligible Candidates free of cost after showing Receipt –cum- Identity Card or Score card of MHT-CET 2010 at the ARCs, before filing up the Online Application form.

Candidates should carefully go through the entire Information Brochure and follow the instructions set out therein for further course of selection and admission. Kindly note that non-compliance with any of the provisions set out in the Information Brochure will result in rejection of claim for admission.

Note:

1. It is MANDATORY for all eligible aspiring Maharashtra State, AIEEE-2010 (Paper-1) qualified and J&K Migrant candidates to submit and confirm Online application form for Engineering/Technology.

J & K Migrant Candidates applying for Engineering/ Technology courses: Such candidates should send print out of duly filled in and signed online application form and attested copies of required documents for confirmation along with a DD/Pay order of Rs. 700/- to: The Principal, Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Versova Road, Munshi Nagar, Andheri (West), Mumbai-400 058.

6. If the candidate fails to confirm the online filled application form at ARC, then such online filled application will be rejected and name of such candidate will not appear in the merit list(s) prepared for the purpose of CAP. Such candidates whose names do not appear in the merit list(s) will not be able to participate in entire Centralized Admission Process.

Document Verification and Confirmation at Application Form Receipt Center :

The candidates are required to carry ALL Original Certificates and one set of attested true copies of these documents as mentioned in information brochure issued at the time of submission of application form for MHT-CET 2010. The list of documents required is given in the information brochure and will also be listed in the printout of the online application form.

Application Procedure

Completed Application on the prescribed form will be accepted. The application form can be downloaded from the Institute website http://www.manit.ac.in (Preferable Mode).

It can also be collected in person from MANIT Bhopal by paying Rs. 50/- through A/c payee Bank Draft /IPO in favour of "MANIT Bhopal", or through Post by sending a Self-Addressed A4 Size Envelope with A/c Payee Bank Draft / IPO of Rs. 50/- in favour of "MANIT Bhopal".

Submission: Completed forms can be submitted upto 5th July 2010 with a A/c Payee Bank Draft/IPO of Rs. 750/- in favour of "MANIT Bhopal" to Assistant Registrar (Admission), MANIT Bhopal -462051.

The Envelope must contain the following header, "Application Form for Ph.D. Admission in ........Department" Applicants must submit separate applications and A/c Payee Bank Draft/ IPO of Rs. 750/- if they wish to apply to different Departments.

FPGDST (Full-Time Post-Graduate Diploma in Advanced Software Technology)

PGDIS (Post Graduate Diploma in Information Security)

Eligibility Criteria

For FPGDST: Graduate in any subject from a recognized Board/ University OR a Diploma holder in Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. Candidates have to appear for the General Aptitude (GA) and Computer Concepts (CC) papers and qualify.

For PGDIS:

B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc./B.C.A.or equivalent or a higher degree Engineering Degree. (all the above qualifications in the area of Electrical Sciences*/ Computer Sciences*).

*Electrical/Electronics/Communications/Telecommunications/Instrumentation & control – Engineering

*Computer Science/ information Technology /Information Science/ Computational Science /Computer Applications.

AND Must have a valid score in the GA and CC paper of the " Eligibility-Cum-Ranking-Test"


Application Procedure

Interested candidates, who fulfil the eligibility requirements for obtaining admission to FPGDST and PGDIS course through the eligibility-cum- ranking test, should enter the A-3 application form on-line or download this form, fill this in manually, attach the necessary documents and send it to C-DAC, Juhu, Mumbai on or before July 1, 2010.

Candidates or their representatives may submit the application form in person at C-DAC, Juhu, Mumbai, on all working days (Monday to Saturday),between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m.

Exam fee of Rs. 400/, in cash, or by a crossed demand draft in favour of “C-DAC, Mumbai”, payable at Mumbai. The exam fee once paid is non- refundable/ non-adjustable against any other event.
