Well, dress code is essential to remind you about your duties. Medical Students have a dress code, Engineering Students too have if not in all then at least in many colleges across India, Defence students too have a dress code, Police academy also have a dress code and may be many institutions also have a a dress code where they require all students to attend classes in a certain type wear. College sports teams too have a dress code.

Eligibility: • B.Sc. General or Honours in Physical Sciences / Chemical Sciences / Biological Sciences.

• Completed at least one year course in Mathematics.

• Candidates must have qualified in JAM Test conducted by Indian Institutes of Technology

College of Horticulture : Biotechnology, Entomology & Apiculture, Floriculture & Landscaping, Fruit Breeding & Genetic Resources, Fruit Science, Mycology & Plant Pathology, Post harvest Technology and Vegetable Science.

College of Forestry : Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Statistics, Agro forestry, Environmental Sciences, Forest Products, Microbiology, Silviculture, Soil Science & Water Management and Tree Improvement & Genetic Resources.

NOTE: Admission in Agro forestry will be for in service candidates and in case in service candidates are not available, the seats will be open for fresh candidates.

Eligibility: B Sc Forestry/Horticulture/Agriculture 4-year Programme B.Sc with an OGPA of 6.00/10.00 or its equivalent under course credit system or 60% marks under annual system from a recognized University. In addition, graduates in Animal Husbandry and Graduates with Economics are also eligible for Agro forestry and Agricultural Economics, respectively.

Application procedure: PROSPECTUS CUM APPLICATION FORM for admission will be available from the Registrar, Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan (HP) after 17th May, 2009 on payment of Rs. 300.00 in cash at counter or by sending bank draft worth Rs. 350.00 payable at State Bank of Patiala/UCo Bank, Nauni in the name of the Comptroller of the University.
