World need more energy, fossil fuel reservoirs are depleting. Save Energy is one option but perhaps we cannot  save enough of it to fill the rising energy demand. Solar Energy is the option. We need to trap solar energy for the use of human kind and hence formed International Solar Alliance at Paris, France. The objective of this organization is making good use of solar energy.

It all started with an speech of Prime Minister of India in November 2015 at Wembley Stadium, in which he referred to sunshine countries as Suryaputra ("Sons of the Sun").

The sunshine countries are those lied in the Torrid Zone, i.e. between tropic of Cancer and tropic of Capricorn.

The Foundation stone of ISA jointly laid by the Prime Minister of India and French President President Fran├žois Hollande. The ISA has Headquarters in Gurugram, Haryana India.

As of 2017, 121 countries are members of ISA.

Countries outside of Torrid Zone can also join ISA and enjoy equal rights and responsibilities but no voting rights.

The First Edition of International Solar Alliance (ISA) summit i.e. ISA 2018 concluded in New Delhi. According to Devdiscource, the summit was attended by Heads of 23 member countries. The World Bank is extending support of US Dollar 500 000 for awareness and other activities.
